UPDATE: Uploaded a bigger version, as some of the small details were lost with the previous one.

UPDATE II: I appreciate that Vaati is not sized as he appears in The Minish Cap (originally due to faulty memory on my part, sorry!), but I decided to leave him that way to mirror Minish Link on the opposite side of the piece. :)

With the 25th Anniversary of the Legend of Zelda and London Expo coming up, I decided I wanted to do something a bit special.
So I thought how about a print featuring characters from across all twenty five years of Zelda, with some of the proceeds going to charity?

And this is the result.
There is one good guy and one villain from each Zelda game, going backwards from Skyward Sword to the original Legend of Zelda (apart from the CD-i games, but I think we all know why. =P).
Well actually you may notice that there isn't a good guy from Oracle of Seasons, but that's mainly because I couldn't get one to fit in the line-up, thanks to the King of Red Lions' head.

There was one A2 framed poster made from this that went as a prize in a charity raffle I held at Expo and I also printed some A4 photo-print copies, from which £1 of every sale went to Child's Play.

A4 prints are still available to buy from me and more details about prices and payment are available in my journal here. :)

Character Lineup
I used the Twilight Princess versions of Link, Ganondorf and Zelda. I had originally planned on using the Skyward Sword versions of Link and Zelda, but felt that Twilight Princess versions had more of the iconic LoZ look to them (well Zelda at least, Link doesn't look much different).

Left from Ganondorf:
Ghirahim, Byrne/ Staven, Bellum, Zant, Vaati (slightly in front of Zant), Veran, Skull Kid and Tael, Onox (chose to put him behind Skull Kid as he was too big to be in front), Windwaker version of Phantom Ganon, Twinrova, Nightmare Dethl, Agahnim, Prince of Hyrule, Ganon (original).

Right from Zelda:
Fi, Anjean, Linebeck, Midna (human and imp forms), Minish Link, Tetra with King of Red Lions, Ralph, Happy Mask Salesman, Sheik with Navi, Marin, Sahasrahla, Impa (Adventure version, Link (original).

Critiques? Sure why not? There's probably not much I can do to apply them to this particular piece as it's already been printed, but there's no reason why I can't apply them to later pieces. I'm always thankful for them anyway!
I suppose the biggest thing that stands out for me when looking back on it is the perspective of the characters and their relation to the castle. First of all he castle feels like it may be a bit small for the picture, or too far forward. Second, I think Link and possibly Ganon are a bit too big and at slightly the wrong angle for the perspective to work going backwards.

I did try to apply some critiques from previous work, in regards to giving objects and characters less detail the further back they were and also to light the piece using colours from the environment. Perhaps they needed more of a yellow/ orange mix overall? If anyone's got any pointers I'll be very thankful for them. :)

With many thanks to :iconandantonius: for his pencil brush that I used to do the line work on the characters towards the front and also to :iconlithriel:'s awesome digital painting tutorial which I look forward to experimenting with a lot more!

One thing that I love about this is not only the way you showed EVERY IMPORTANT CHARACTERS FROM EVERY ZELDA GAME. But also selecting the best of the best styles of every game. I bet that Link is skyward link while Zelda and Ganon are Twilight Zelda and Twilight Ganon.

And the grand appeal to it would be the way you balanced the entire timeline's theme. Its like Original timeline background theme meets Timeline B and Timeline C * Timeline A altogether.

And to top it all off, the triforce has a perfect angle to the right rank of characters that desire the Triforce with their lives. Especially the correct versions of Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf.
